The European Commission has launched a study on pumps for the preparation of further and/or more advanced ecodesign and/or energy labelling requirements. The study has reviewed and built upon Commission Regulation (EU) No 547/2012 and the preparatory studies on “Lot 28 waste water pumps” and “Lot 29 other pumps”.

The study has been finalized and the final report is now available at the "Documents" page.

The study was carried out by Van Holsteijn en Kemna BV and Viegand Maagøe A/S for the European Commission, DG Energy. The study started in December 2014 and finished in December 2018.
This website provides information on the study mainly for EU Member States and stakeholders.

The illustration on top of the pages is showing one of the first pump for fluids moved by electromagnetism (wood engraving from L'èlectricitè by J. Baille, Paris - Hachette 1868).
